Better shocks.
What makes them better? Do they actually make the bike sit lower likt th op said? I though they just had a stiffer spring to carry the extra weight. Wouldn't that make a lighter standard or tourer sit higher? Is the compression and rebound damping different? Sorry for all the questions on your post 98valk but i think its relevant.
I/S have stiffer springs and rebound rates.
I have three pairs of low mileage I/S shocks and all measure 12 3/4" eye to eye on setting 1. On setting 3 they are 13". I will be comparing my STD shocks, after I pull them.
an article stated that I/S has a lower seat height than STD, this is why I'm asking and thinking the shocks are shorter. maybe it is the seat itself?
can anybody confirm STD shock length per a setting?
thanks
