you can never really wind it out in two successive gears without going significantly over the speed limit.  Have you noticed that?

Also, in another post I test rode a new Raider 1900 Vtwin...  cool bike...but honestly, after getting off the Valkyrie...it felt like a slow, rattling piece of junk..that didn't turn well at all.

Today with the cooler temps...the tires stick better and the motor makes snappy HP...I just don't think I could ever ride another bike that works as well...You really get spoiled with the power, comfort and handling...not to mention reasonable exhaust noise...  I simply cannot believe they couldn't sell more of these...

And for you guys whom ride in Florida in where it is nearly always warm/hot and humid...you have NO IDEA how much faster this bike is in dry, cooler conditions.   The difference, although not Earth shaking, is significant.

Yes ,you're right ,,,,, for the past week , it's been 60  in morning at 7am ,   when it reaches 70 , I am out the door  for a ride and it's wonderful  , the cool air .
By 11am , though , it's 90  and very soon 95 , that's no fun at all

Cool...although the conditions there are typically dry...the cooler temps make for greater HP...almost like a hot air balloon has more lift when the air inside the balloon is significantly hotter then the air outside the balloon.

The better tire stickage is awesome!

I've been enjoying the throttle roll ons. The windscreen I have gives me enough wind to enjoy the speed build up without the speedbrake effect. The brakes have come into their own as well.

Sorry but to have MORE grip when is cold you would have to be comparing to a tire that was under inflated on a 100 degree day.

What planet are you on where cold tires stick better than hot?? Most racers would go down on the 1st lap with cold tires, so tire warmers were invented...or are they tire coolers? uglystupid2

That planet you are on dude...Earth, the 3rd one out from the Sun, approx. 27,000 miles in circumference..93 million miles from the Sun, or 1AU...4.6 billion years old...atmosphere compromised mostly of nitrogen and oxygen..with overt traces of methane near Nebraska...yeah THAT one... 2funny

I wasn't inferring that cold tires stick better, I was referring to warm tires on a COOL surface sticking better... uglystupid2

Sorry for the apparent mislead... Grin
