I used to be a wolfboy, but I'm alright NOOOOOWWWW

A few days ago, I had to lean on the binders to keep a cage
from wiping me out. My wimpy stock horn would have made him
laugh even harder.

I need a good solid horn. I put a small replacement horn on my old
V65 Magna, definitely got peoples attention, but the pitch was too high.
For the Valk, I'd like to find a really low note horn, something to give
THEM a scare for a change.

I was at a big-rig accessory dealer that same day looking for a
truck horn, he had nothing of the sort.

Anbody know of a good price, low note air horn?

BigBF quad horns have two tones, and can beep people back into their own lanes even on I85 in Atlanta...

I use and like any of the dual horn setup out of a dodge vehicle. My present ones are from a dodge caravan, $5-10 local salvage yard. The ones from the dakotas sound even louder.
or u can go the air horn route, a lot of using the compact stebal air horn.

there are also a few articles out there that compare boat horns (low note) and auto horns (high note). I use both. low note will be heard at a further distance but is not as well heard above traffic noise close range as a high note. This is why most vehicles use a high and low note horn which together become louder. That is what I remember reading.

An alternative to the Stebel is the Wolo BadBoy.  Same horn, different distributer.

I don't know if those are low tone enough to suit you, but they are loud enough to get someone's attention even at highway speeds.

If you go to Stebel's website, you can navigate around till you find a twin electric horn setup. I installed a set of these on a friend's Valk. They are as loud as the air horn and a lower tone too. If I replace mine, I'm going with the elctric ones. Get the part # and search for it. He bought his on the web for $35.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I use a HD horn from the Sportster horn kit. $75. Its a deep tone. It occasionally works, most of the time it sounds like a honking goose! Plus it looks good.
