Gang:
For those of you who've had to remove the rear fender rails on a Standard/Tourer- either to add an I/S trunk or install a pair of the aftermarket Cobra rails - am I correct in assuming the upper rear shock stud must be removed?
This appears to be the front-most location where the rails are attached to the frame - and it looks like a bear to break loose. I wasn't able to locate this schematic on the fiche, so I have no idea what type of fasteners are even involved.
Any words of wisdom (or confessions based on experience)?
