2000 interstate 225k, on 6th car tire, and still love the ride . . . . but, things are wearing out like the turn signal "shaft". it goes in about 1/2 inch then right angles down about another half inch, and then right angles back to connects with the mini plate that is studded to fit into the slider that engages the turn signal. if you followed all that, then maybe you can offer suggestions. where it right angles back to connect with the mini plate, it separated. I may try a micro welder or a boneyard (dont' think Honda sells that part separately) or do some machine work myself to improve on the lousy design. also, would like any 200k plus owners to weigh in. maybe we should have a separate board?

My turn signal button/lever broke recently at one of those 90 degree angles. You can buy the whole assembly from the dealer for $140. Well, that's what I paid here in Canada, it's probably much cheaper in the US.
It isn't something I was going to fiddle with as it's a safety thing. I got lucky, mine broke with the signal off, but if it broke with one signal on, it could be rather dangerous driving with a signal flashing.
The first one lasted 18 years, the new one should too.

Mine also broke. Luckily a member sold me an assembly for just the shipping. (Thanks Pharmboy)
I don't know if it can be welded. But it might be worth a try. I'd try to remove the black plastic push button first.
If anybody is in need of any of the other components in the unit, let me know.

What about Pinwall for that. You ought to be able to get the whole assembly on the cheap.

thanks for the replies. ended up having a micro welder fix it - works fine, should be good for another 225k - he didn't want to charge anything but I gave him $20 anyway - he does such good work I want to be able to bring him anything else I might need in future. ride safe.
