NOAA moves this further west with every update! It is picking up forward motion a tad.
Matthew's tropical storm-force wind field (at least 39 mph sustained winds) extends up to 185 miles from the center, and hurricane-force winds extend up to 40 miles from the center.

Hope it starts moving more East, but doesn't look too promising.

Typically, these storms lose a bunch of punch as they cross the shallow waters of the Bahamas.

What do you mean? Two more updates on NOAA and it will be coming to the west side.

What do you mean? Two more updates on NOAA and it will be coming to the west side. Either way Jerry we're gonna get it here in the middle of the state. Tropical storm force winds wreak havoc on the heavily treed area of Marion county. Almost guarantee days without electricity.

Looking worse for central and northern each update like Jerry says. Got some gasoline for the generator yesterday. Already had some ice cream.

It has moved farther west, from National Hurricane center shows the wall will touch the coast between Melbourne and Daytona. I am as nearly ready here as I can be 2 gen sets and enough gas for about 3 to 4 days. Went without power several years ago for almost a week. Don't want to do that crap again.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Could it be? That it indeed stays off the coast??
