I installed the CCS-100 CC in 2012 on my Interstate and have had 25,000 miles trouble free use. I just returned from a 850 mile round trip, and experienced my first problem.
If the the CC is off like when I gas up for more than 5 minutes I will have trouble setting the speed or if I am riding using the CC and cancel then wait 5 minutes I will have the same problem. I have to cycle the on off button and try to set the speed sometimes 3 or 4 times before it engages. Once set it stays set. The light is always on if the unit is on and all features work well.
All my lights are working and I have a solenoid so as to use led lights etc. I have checked the fuse that gives the CC power all the time and it is good. Any ideals or experience please. Have not traced wires yet or checked the solenoid as I will have to remove the fairing. Thanks

Even though it's only been 4 years, I would check your vacuum lines and check valves.

Good advice, I had the same intermittent problem some time back. Turned out to be two check valves were no longer "checking."  I replaced them along with new vacuum lines, problem solved.

I even had to return two check valves for different ones, even though new they didn't function. Guy at the counter just shrugged, said go pick up two more so I did. When I returned to the counter he had already put the bad ones back in their box and was going to hang them back up for the next sucker. What he didn't know is I marked them and the boxes, then called the regional office about his actions, told them how they had been marked. Two days later they called me back, thanking me....the guy I found out had been let go.

A couple of links . This first one was my problem. Cleaned solenoid valves and all is good.

Second one has a trouble shooting section at the end.

Thanks for both of those great articles. I looked for a couple of hours and did not find anything like that. I will take time soon as I have to pull off the fairing which I have gauges mounted to and I always have more screws cause trouble which I have to stop and repair. Will let you know!  Thanks again for all responses.

I checked and the vacuum is good no leaks, took apart the vaccum solenoids in the servo module and cleaned them, all looked good to me. Cleaned some connections on the solenoid I installed for led brake lights. Took a quick ride and it still works but I will need to ride a distance and see what happens. Thanks for all the help.
