If I cut the brace on the bottom(the part that isn't there on the standard and tourer models) of the crash bar, will there be any detrimental consequences? The only reason I can think of for the brace is to give support for the pod(I actually have some air wings on the pod).
Thanks in advance....

Not as long as you did not gouge the bar. Careful removal and slow cool grinding or better yet , file smooth.

Are you referring to the scoops at the very bottom of the interstate engine guard. They are there to redirect air to your shoes for added comfort.

The Interstate scoops have never been proven to do much of anything.  Some have tapped them to mount small lights down low.  Mine are cut off to allow the #4050 Kury Hwy Pegs mount where they are supposed to.  If they are in your way, cut them off.  Just coat the exposed metal with some paint or clearcoat to inhibit rust and corrosion.

Typical Honda "over engineering" to add a little extra cooling to the underside of the heads and head pipes seeing it's an Interstate and will probably see higher passenger loads resulting in a little more heat.
