I've decided to do some customizations on my black Valk. One was putting a VTX1800 Neo rear fender on it. Has anyone ever seen this? I can't find any pictures of one. I know there will be some modifications needed but don't know how much. Like is the width the same or less so it will at least fit in the frame?

Have you thought about converting a Valk rear fender to a VTX1800 Neo by using a Neo taillight and associated parts? Might be easier. http://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/50bf9bb4f87002341cab33f4/taillight-2

Not a bad idea, but I want the bigger, wrap around flat fender look of the Neo.

Buy the 1800 fender used and take the Valk fender sections off and compare/revise accordingly. Might not work out but I don't see any other way to do it. Basically a project but should be feasible.

Don't know if it will work or not but I like the idea.

A friend of mine has a VTX 1800N and I love the rear fender.

I'm wondering if it would make changing the rear tire harder to do though.

When changing a rear tire I put my bikes on a lift after removing both pipes, then remove the wheel and final drive. Elevate the bike sufficiently and there's more than enough room to drop the assembly free - even with a skirted fender. The 'N part would make roadside tire changes on a Valkyrie a bit more difficult, I think.

If you have access to a VTX-N service manual, see what their removal process entails. The rear ends of these bikes are very similar to our Valks.
