Left my house yesterday at 8:30 in the morning, and 400 wet miles later was in Macinaw City, on my way to meet Michigan's Misguided, for a lil get together...  For all but the first 70 miles it poured, and the last 7 miles, crossing the Macinaw Bridge, were the most scary 7 miles I've ever done on a bike.  45 mpg gusts, pouring rain, and that bridge seemed like it was 3 ft wide, once I got to the top...

Left Macinaw City this morning, and after talking to Joe and finding how hard it was raining down state, decided to head right to Traverse City.  I beat the group here by a few hours, but the ride was mostly dry.

One other thing...  I came 500 miles, from Wisconsin, just to party with a bunch of good friends, and I'm the only one that got here on two wheels...  The rest of the group, after seeing the forcast, came in their cages. Oh well, I'll be the one with a big ol' 'Valkyrie Smile' on my face, when I get home tomorrow  Wink

Safe winds Bro.

Our little group canceled our monthly ride today, too cold.

I had been approved to ride 2 wheels last week by the Dr, so I went on my own jaunt.

I fixed my electric gloves outlet, plugged em in a had a whay of a time.

Probably about 150 miles, but is was 150 miles on the new knee.  NO PROBLEMS, till I got home.

Backed MGM into his spot, popped the kickstand and hung on as it tipped over onto my garden tractor hood.   Wasn't over far enough that I couldn't bring him back up.    Tip of the handlebar was in the center of the hood on the tractor.
I put a piece of 2X12 under the stand in the garage.    To make a long short, I pull MGM forward by hand and the firkin kickstand came up when it hit the board, never registered in my head & I leaned him over.   DUH..........

Ride home safe... I hope tomorrow is better weather. I  don't envy you riding across the Mackinaw Bridge during a driving rain storm....  I bet the "pucker factor" is pretty high at that point.

I hope to see you next Saturday at your garage.

9 1/2 hours, 495 miles...

Rain, rain, and more rain in Michigan, but it stopped long enough for me to cross the Big Mac  Shocked

Once I hit Wisconsin, it was cool, cloudy and pretty dry.

I need a shower, a drink, and some grub.  Time to watch football  cooldude

Oh, and by the way, if you ever have a chance to ride in the state of Michigan, ya just gotta do it  Wink .  The roads are great, and the folks ain't too bad either.
