He was putting the bike on the center stand yesterday in the garage and ruptured his Achilles tendon. He and the bike wound up on the floor.

They will be scheduling him for surgery this week ASAP

That's what I was told yesterday. It'll be about 6 months before physical therapy even starts.

My brother severed his achilles a couple of years ago and I know it was a long recovery.  The one side effect to watch out for was weight gain Smiley  Not getting around much and having food close is a primary trigger!

Hope all goes well and you end up ahead of schedule.
