Hey everyone ,
Instead decided to start looking at this again for my standard ...Please help me remember....
Will be OEM hard bag off of a Interstate ,fit on a STD. Or ? Seems I remember they  are not interchangeable maybe because of the hardware ?

Thank you

If you are installing tourer bags on an interstate the hinge has to be changed out, to a 2 piece hinge. If you don't use the trunk then no change is needed. The tourer bag lid opens forward which would interfere with the interstate trunk.

I/S bags will fit on a Standard if you get all the associated hardware.  There are 5 brackets, spacers and longer grab rail bolts needed. No need to change hinges unless you want too.

You are better off with the interstate bags (in my opinion)  if you change the seat , they tend to hit the seat when opening. I wish I had known when I did mine.

On the other hand, I have changed seats and LIKE the fact that the bag hits the seat when it opens-helps keep it open. Just my $.02 worth....

Like most things on the Valkyrie, the bikes are all the same. There are only a few exceptions, but all can work , if you know what it is that is different.
