This past January I bought an I/S and recently installed a USB Socket in the right fairing panel, and a RAM mount next to the Dogbone for my Nexus Phone. I have the Audio Connector placed so I can plug in the phone...but...I would really like to plug that connector into a 12v powered Bluetooth Adapter instead. It would eliminate having to connect/disconnect 2 wires which of course are at opposite ends of the phone. Has anyone made this happen with good results?...Thanks

I have it on my IS I got my usb bluetooth adaptor off e bay for 10 bucks. Works great. Ihabe mine hooked up under my seat with my distribution box ran through a relay so when the key is off the power is off. Found out that little blue light will drain a batter in a week and kill a batter in less than a year.

Thanks...been looking on Amazon...some are rechargeable battery only, so still looking for the right one with a 12v hookup...My USB Socket is on full time with the little blue light so I am going to rewire that to the Ign. switch or maybe a toggle next to the USB socket...your under the seat setup sounds like the way to go.

I installed a bluetooth mixer/preamp/crossover under the seat to pick up tunes off my iphone and feed them into the 300w amp. Supports 4 channels plus a subwoofer. I'm only connected to the front channels. Got it from Amazon. Works pretty well.  Compatible with wired input from my Zumo MP3/Sirius player. So I have 3 sources of audio.

Wow...That is an impressive setup... I am looking at using the I/S Aux Mode channel on the OEM radio to pick up my phone's Maps and Music. The integrated 3.5mm Aux jack seems to be a simple way to pair(bluetooth) my Nexus to the Bike's audio.

I recently read about the Sena Freewire device. It's still in development but is expected to be released in spring 2017. It is supposed to connect to the existing I/S comms system and create a bluetooth bi-directional connection to a bluetooth setup in the helmet. It also allows for another bluetooth connection to something like a cell phone or GPS device as well as another input from a 3.5mm source.

Fundamentally, it would allow us to keep "all" of the existing features of the factory comm system but lose the cord between the bike and the helmet. I'll wait until there are a few of them on the streeat and reviews have been written before committing, but I'm interested in learning more about it.

There easy way is get adapter that plugs into headset plug and  that adapter changes to 3.5 plug.
Then get a blue tooth transmitter.
That way anything that would go to a wired headset would now be transmitted by way of blue tooth.
Now your radio and auxiliary plug both are blue tooth.
I use this set up with Sena 20 which also let's me use my phone to make and get calls while on the road.
