What is the shortest shock I can use?

I have to lower my bike. My progressive 412's were leaking so I bought a used pair of stock size 13".
WOW! now I am tip toeing. I even have a ultimate low rider seat. What is the shortest shock I can use? 11.5". I just put on a new MC Metzeler tire.
I spoke to Grumpy and he is using Progressive 11.5" with a Taxi tire with no problems or modifications.
This is for an Interstate. Once in a while I will ride 2 up. I'm 195 and wife 130.

If you were comfortable with the leaking shocks, and haven't thrown them out yet, measure them. Then decide if you want shocks even shorter, or can stay with that length. After all, you don't want the tire rubbing the fender over bumps.

Those will work and are as short as you can go. Not sure about the quality as they look like a progressive knock off but the the seems reasonable.

I sent you a PM. The 412s I used were the heavy duty version.

Do you think I would be ok with 11.5" shocks and not lowering the front forks?

Yes, but do yourself a favor and go no lower than 12"s on shocks.... so you can still lean a little bit without dragging.
