Since I damaged my tach and speedo in my recent crash (just found out the bike was upside down when it came to rest), I am looking for OEM gauges. But I find they are very expensive.

Any suggestions for non-OEM gauges? Something that looks appropriate for the bike, is easy to mount, and of good quality?

Thanks,
Jeff

Since I have the OEM gauges plus fuel, oil pressure, and temp, I've looked at various gauges that incorporate all in just one(automotive type). They are out there and really look good, for the fuel you would have to switch the float arm to the opposite side on the sender in the tank....a simple job. If you don't have need of all those gauges, there are others that just incorporate speedo and tach in a single unit. Hooking up a tach is rather simple, making the speedo work correctly might involve installing a Speedo Healer if using a Hall effect pick up, or a mechanical to elec. converter for our Std. or Tourer cable drive.

Go on the Autometer site to look around, Google other mfrs. for what they have to offer.

I have just installed a Koso DBR-01 Plus on my standard. See http://kosonorthamerica.com/shop/motorcycle-mx/db-01r-speedometer-e-mark-approval/ (I didn't pay anything like list for it nearer half price on UK eBay form the UK importer). I also bought their universal cable adapter for the speedo and that works fine too. This is what it looks like although I am going to change the standard mounting bracket IMG_1455 by Colin Spencer, on Flickr
