I was very unhappy with my old bags, seems like they were a problem from the start. I tried to be a cheap ass and buy some old bags and make them work. First the painter had them for three months and did not finish them, i got mad and sprayed painted them my self. then the locks would not hold, hit a bump and the bags would come unlocked. So i broke down and bought a set off e-bay, Bags=$850, Mounts=$300, Del fee and i must say was fair. $50. The man del them to my door.  I had these bags mounted up in less than an hour. I am very happy with the look, i am going to add some red to the rest of the bike. Also i put an Interstate seat on the bike, i must say that i am very happy with the seat also. I can now sit on the bike with both feet flat on the ground. Thats what i like about the Valkyrie, you can change it up to fit the rider. Oh and the power under your butt is like nothing else.

I like the look of it - as is, maybe put a red stripe on tank & fenders. (Paint not beer!)

Yeah,... we come with a little baggage.

Especially painters. Just look at that Vincent Van Gough fellow. His emotional baggage caused him to cut off his ear. Cheesy Grin 2funny

what if you left the bags like they are and the paint, so its a black bike with a little red trim on the bags. Then pop off the top of the carbs and paint them red. Or paint the wheels red.
Or powder coat the emblem red instead of shiny.

That might also look cool and different.
