Dave, it's going so much better than I had even hoped. Today was my 3rd therapy session and I drove myself there in the truck. I don't yet have the confidence to carry the weight of the Valkyrie  with my right leg in the case of an imbalance situation, but I'm sure that I could handle it on the flat. The Spyder, of course, is a breeze. I still have a minor limp while walking and the rare unstable moment, but not enough to warrant a walker or cane. Hell, I live in a senior community, we're typically falling down all over the place.

Strength and flexibility are my priorities,  along with riding with my Valkyrie family to the next Inzane.

It has been a little over 2 weeks since I had my hip replaced and today I had the staples removed from the 2 incisions. The Dr checked my movement and strength and said that I was well above average on the recovery scale. He cleared me to ride the Spyder, but recommended that I wait the 6 weeks before taking to 2 wheels. Much as I hate to admit it, he's right as I don't have the leg strength to keep the Valk upright should it want to tip.

Now, I do have a 250cc bike that is less than 400lbs..................... cooldude

Rob, my leg is definitely weaker, mostly because of muscle atrophy, but my flexibility is far greater. My body had deposited calcium to restrict hip movement and protect the little joint cartilage that I had left.

Thank you for the good wishes Michael.

That's great to hear George.  cooldude I'm sure you'll have that leg strength back soon.
