First.... thanks to all that had anything to do with updating the message board to the present software.  Well done and THANKS.

Second....   can we get a sticky post or Pinned Note regarding the Blue /Grey ride  so it stays at the top?  I can't seem to get to the old boad for that post info (which was difficult to track all of it anyhow) and would like that info readily available (as I am sure others would as well).  I am sure others will find that this format of message board to be better after they become used to it.  There is a similar set up on the VTXOA message boards that I frequent.   As someone else mentioned, there are loads of posts flying around and it will settle down.  Once everyone realizes that this is mo better.... it will stablize.

Thanks again

on the Rune board.....we have other Forum areas (in addtiion to General, Tech, Swap area, etc.).....called "Rides and Events". In THAT area, we Admin folks "Sticky" post different events upcoming.....and then remove the Sticky when no longer useful/current.

Also, in the Tech Area, we Sticky post SOME of the more frequently asked questions...like how to modify a Rune exhaust, other "common mods", etc. Just like Staff/Admin here has stickied some posts on how to post, add pics, etc....in the General area here.

Of course, you CAN quickly get TOO many stickys if you aren't careful!

That said, IF THIS BOARD HAD....a Ride and Events page, IN ADDITION to the Blue/Grey wanting a sticky post, Cheaha would want one too....and probably Hotglues....and Britman's Memorial....and..........etc.

Of course, there is a "sticky" of sorts. Right on the main front page. there is a listing for "Upcoming Events"....and right there on that front page under that listing, there is.....Cheaha, Britmans, Blue/Grey, IZ, etc. One (or in some cases two) click and you are at the link with the detailed info for THAT event.

So in a way, i guess they already have that info stickied?

anyway, maybe VRCC will add a "Ride and Events" area and sticky some events/links...like Blue/Grey, Cheaha, etc????

Yes, the ADMIN folks control the Sticky Posts and the creating of other Forum areas, such as classifieds (For Sale and another for Wanted).  I'm sure they will get around to it.... just trying to provide a gentle reminder.    Wink

This type of message board has soo much more flexibility and capability from an admininstrative and user perspective, that I bet we don't know all the capability it does have.

I must have missed the so called sticky on the main page... but will go back and check it out.   Thanks

Edit.... yes I found it... THANKS.
