I sent my test windshield which is simply a 1500 Valkyrie tourer windshield modified for our bike to Gustafsson windscreens (plastics) Saint Augustine FL and the new one came back and I put my chrome stuff back on.  Can't ride this weekend as it is rainy crappy and I need to get home things done this weekend. But here it is on the work bench.    I realize that not everyone is old school and I like the modern stuff as well, I just wanted more coverage and this was the answer.

Looks good.

Mine was that wide before I cut the side down.  I guess that is what the chrome piece is for that is across the shield...to make sure that the sides don't flap.   2funny

Jerry just wanted to compliment you on your bike. The mods and the idea for your bike work and make it unique and cool looking, this includes the windshield. good job  cooldude cooldude

Thanks Robert  cooldude  and the burgundy is beautiful with the Corbin's to match. Like the blue, in person it is such a rich deep paint. cooldude

Looks real nice, Jerry. Nothing like a brand new scratch free shield to look through. Looking forward to seeing the installed pics. How many inches will it be? You'll still be able to look over it, right?

Hey posted this on the 1500 board but duplicated it below I think this is the information you were looking for.

Actually you are correct that things were done earlier since the 03 was no different than the 01. Im not sure when production actually stopped but Dag's website has the years and the differences. Three links below the top is Micapeak the bottom two are Dags the very bottom one is probably the one you want as it lists all changes.

Yes.  And thanks, I found the spot talking about the differences on the 1500s. Interesting stuff.....
