You mean what changes on the 03' model, that was improvements learned from the previous years?

Nothing. All where applied that mattered.

97' front wheel bearing and drive shaft
99' rear rotors
00' rims (?)

Some other things that changed, but some items are unique for the IS.

Less models. As they where turning them off.

The only things I can think of it Bigger/better Front wheel bearings, Polished wheels, and Better seat.  I dn't think they waited until '03 to do all of these things, I think bearings and seats were a couple MYs prior to that.

 Yes not necessarily that they waited that long but I just wanted to see what the last year had that was corrections from all the previous. Yes sounds like things were done earlier.

Actually you are correct that things were done earlier since the 03 was no different than the 01. Im not sure when production actually stopped but Dag's website has the years and the differences. Three links below the top is Micapeak the bottom two are Dags the very bottom one is probably the one you want as it lists all changes.

Yeah, it's more like they un-learned that the great looking color schemes offered in the earlier years were what made the bikes that much more attractive IMO.
