The Valkyrie that I bought last month in the UK has now arrived in Spain.  cooldude

Now the work starts to get it stripped down and the chrome re-plated so it will be back to all its glory. The price I paid for it reflects the work I will have to do to get it back to pristine condition.

It is a 1997 GL1500C2 according to the original Wisconsin Title and Licence Plate Application dated 10-28-96 that came with the bike. It was shipped to the UK in 1997. The original UK owner had it from June 1997 till he sold it in July 1998 to the guy I bought it from. It has only covered just over 17,000 miles in that time.

If you want to look at the photos of it now before I start on it they are here. I will update them as the rebuild progresses.

Yes it has lived 10 years right by the sea in Folkestone in the UK, he obviously didn't take care of it. Hopefully in a couple of months it will look a lot better.

SWMBO loves the colour too and having looked at all the stock colour combinations it is the only one she liked but I am not so sure. The locals seem to prefer all black and chrome bikes and I must admit that is my favourite. I expect I will get used to the yellow, I can't respray it because I couldn't afford the cost of the divorce.  Wink
