I rebuild forks for friends. The last set of parts were from all Balls. I found their seals were superior to OEM. The bushings were a perfect fit. No problems and I'd use them again.

Now I am going to sound stupid.  Fork Bushings versus fork seals?   I heard a lot about changing fork seals,  not so much about bushings.  Care to enlighten this guy? Thanks

Think of them sort of like bearings for the forks. They are just metal, but they eventually get worn.

There are Brass bushings inside the forks that will wear with time and cause some slop in the legs going in and out of the sliders. Many replace those at the same time as the seals I know I do.

OEM's are teflon coated copper.  The manual states that if 3/4 of the bushing is copper, meaning the teflon has worn, than replace.

Like Bighead, I just replace every time I open them up.

It looks like they don't contain the actual seals, unless I missed something?

No, you're right, seals are not included.
