Bikers don't need shrinks!

In the  DFW area this weekend and need a reason to get out? Like to shoot, but want to stay indoors?  Here's the scoop I copied from a member newsletter on the grand opening of a new range in North Richland Hills this weekend (last weekend in January). 1/2 price for kids during the weekend (live fire or BBs for the really little ones). Vendors with weapons and suppressors to try out. Don't know what else is happening. In addition to the 25 yard ranges, they have a large retail area, classroom, laser simulator and are about to finish the shoot-house area.

If there is one thing we hear a lot from our guests here at TSS, it is what an amazing shooting sports facility we have. In second place is, how happy they are to finally have a state-of-the-art range in their own backyards. While we did have our soft opening on December 19th, just in time for the holidays, we are now gearing up for our truly gargantuan grand opening, and you are invited! Be sure to stop by January 27th, 28th and 29th for local vendors, celebrities, firearm manufacturers, NRH police and fire demonstrations, Huggins Honda, local corporate partners, food trucks and much more.
GRAND OPENING:
Friday: Noon to 8PM
Saturday: All day 9AM to 8PM
Sunday: 11AM to 6PM

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss it unless we get back to town in time, but I'm going to try for Sunday. Might ride the Valk (now this is Valk related)

Went out for the grand opening. They have made good progress beyond just the shooting lanes being operational.

1. Simulator room up and running. This is the video simulator that has everything from serious shoot/no-shoot to shooting gallery games you can play with your kids.

2. Scenario room almost completed. Whether you call it a scenario room or training shoothouse, they have put together a nice area for training on clearing rooms and thinking through home/school/office defense. It can be done force on force or one-sided with mannequins that include at least one computer controlled mannequin.

3. Retail space about full of inventory, including guns, ammo, lights, holsters, etc. They also have a couple of lines of ladies apparel and holsters, which Julie appreciated.

4. Class 3 retail. Some inventory in. They plan to have a one-stop shopping experience, including a kiosk that will do photos and prints for filings. Hopefully, the HPA will pass and we may not need that any longer for suppressors.

That's the report so far.  Glad to have this in the area. No financial interest on my part (dang it).
