Looking to meet at JB Boondocks so as to draw the other coast? 11:15 -30 ish  kick tires but not go in until 11:45 to eat.  So official time is 11:45.  Have three places planned this time to pick up trailing two wheeled monsters from the west.  Sixlow to post possible meet places from the other side?

1) SAN an park 8:30 must depart 8:50 ish,  nice back roads to Hess.
2) Hess (yes Hess dang it Billy! It will always be) Speedway gas station at 50 and Spring Hill Hwy at 9:30 depart at 9:50
3) Short hop on 50 to Sunoco gas station at 50 and 471 10:10 leave 10:30

Does this sound right? More exact depart times as we get into kick tire tea times a bit too much sometimes  Roll Eyes

Beginning to sound more & more like a GWRRA outing.  Sad  However, having said that....if things are going OK at the nursing home, I might try to join you. I certainly could use a break, weather permitting.

As long as I can get back to my house by 4:00 PM, I am in for this one. May be in San An, but will probably meet you at the Speedway.

I feel seeing the invitation to all has a destination location so anyone can choose to go directly there. Also offered is many spots east and west for meets. Structure is only time, that is for those who choose one of the optional meet spots and follow one who is willing to lead to the destination. Times are a tad more important at the first and second option so the ones who want to meet at the latter.  I dont care if you use crush washers or have patches on your jacket.  2funny (jokingly said here) times are posted as an option and only because of the multiple options.  The seatbelt sign is now off and you are free to move about the cabin.  2funny

Having all the times and meet up spots makes it easy for everyone to jump in, I don't see why this would bother anyone  Roll Eyes

And yes Jack we will be stopping at the Bakery, it would be Blasphemy to pass without picking up Strudel  crazy2

Beginning to sound more & more like a GWRRA outing  Sad

I remember posts about how people didn't like the structured GW Rides, But when people are coming from all over to join in, structured rides are necessary. Putting a  Sad face to it seemed to be going that way...just sayin.

I believe that if Jerry didn't step up on most of these rides, they probably wouldn't happen. Of course I would still ride regardless, but it is nice to have group rides.

Quite frankly I would like to make a few of these rides more structured and do you know what I would like to to make it more structured????  Roll Eyes

Line up all the bikes at one of the stops in type and all facing the same way.  cooldude   cooldude

Just like the Soggy bottom milton boys so perfectly do.   cooldude

No I don't feel we are very structured, I don't think anyone of us think we are.  It's all good.  Let's have a nice big crowd this weekend.   cooldude

Sorry Nick but you're reading waaay too much into it. I was one of those that posted in the past about the structured GWRRA(I'm still a life member), that's why I left and started hanging out more with the VRCC bunch a number of years ago....because it wasn't structured and we liked it that way. And just so everyone will know, we had just as many rides back then and nobody was the so-called leader. The rides did happen, numerous rides and we had a great time together. Just sayin'!   Wink

As for any riding in the future for me, once my wife is able to leave the nursing home, assuming she ever will, I'll not be able to leave the house anyway. So if/when that happens, I'll probably just sell the bikes and give away all the extra stuff I have stashed. I have a friend that has offered to let me fly his C-172 with him there with me. Since I'm not current nor have a current medical, he would have to ride along, but he said his wife is a retired RN that would stay with Rita while we're gone. I'd love to get back in the cockpit, just have to wait and see.

OK, makes sense. I've had a pretty good life there, just wish I'd taken some pics but 60+ years ago that wasn't really a priority. Plus, the majority of riding done away from the home town was solo, still preferable. Cops weren't so suspicious back then it seemed. If they saw you sleeping on(or under if raining) a picnic table at 3:00am, they'd just check back periodically to make sure you're OK. Today they would probably run you in as a vagrant. If possible, I still want to try and make the Sat. ride. Just have to decide if I want to take the slow and easy country route or the fast expressway & turnpike route. Mileage is about the same, the time much different.....as is the stress.

Sunoco gas station at 50 and 471 will only happen if someone wants to meet there. If no takers we will blow on by.

So ready for some wind!!!!!

Bighead sighting today, about 5 p.m. at a gas station on 326 in Ocala near I 75, I beeped with my little horn Barry and I think your riding buddy saw me in the tractor trailer as I went by. I think you were just putting on your helmet and about to saddle up. I put you at about 6'5" Your bike really stands out and looks better in person, of course my Valkyrie trained eye caught your fat lady chrome first. ! Can't wait to see it up close this weekend.
