I have seen some pics of a blue 1800 with the top of the headlight housing replaced with the chrome one from the red bike.  Looks really good with the chrome side covers.

Has anyone replaced this? If so, how involved was it removing the headlight housing?

Adrian,

It is not that involved.  Someone posted on here how to do it.  I have taken mine off a couple of times.  There are two tabs at the top of the housing.  Lift up the back of the housing with a thin shim, put a couple of small shims in there, one on each side and then pull the plastic forward to take off.

I still have the chrome tank bezel, fuel lid, headlight piece and the ones that go around the gauges in my garage.  I changed them all out when I bought the bike.  I would give you a smoking deal on them if you want them.  I won't use them again.
