Hey...I know about the Pilot Adj. Screws, but what are the Phillip type screws that are on the carbs that you can turn to increase/decrease the idle?...They are facing out so you can just put a screwdriver on them...??? Is there a base standard adjustment in term of number of turns, to set them up while the bike is running...??? I keep my Idle Adj. Knob set for 1000 rpm...Adj. these screws for the 5 carbs makes the idle increase/decrease...!!! How would I go about Adj. these screws so as to get the best idle from each of my carbs...??? Hope I have explained this properly...!!! Thanks for all you do...!!! I have a 99 CT...!!!

If your talking about the blue or green painted phillips screws, those are the carb sync adjustors and you will need a carb sync, if you messed with them.

Beside the carb sync adjusters which Hook#3287 pointed out, the only other screws facing out are the bowl drain screws. Don't turn those out unless you want a puddle on the floor. Smiley

if you are talking about the screws in the picture that Hook posted, and you turned them and she ain't running right, then you need the carbs sync. I'm up in Ellijay, I'd be happy to do it for you, should take less than an hour.

The idle adjustment is a knurled nob on the right side towards the front.

While turning them will change your bikes idling, that is not what they're for.

You should have your carbs synchronized.
