the beginning of November.  No battery charger, no nothing...just stabil, a full tank of gas...and a cover.  Pull of the cover, turn the ignition on....  fires up IMMEDIATELY..within moments purring....amazing...my old Shadow was a bitch to get started...even with a battery charger after sitting that long.

Next weekend...fresh oil and the first ride of the season!!! cooldude Cheesy

Have you addressed any of the complaints you had a couple of weeks ago ??
I'd start with the seat .

WE have at least 6 weeks before we can ride up here.  We just got 12" of snow today, so it isn't going anywhere soon.  tickedoff tickedoff

On the plus side, we will on a cruise to the Bahamas in a three weeks.   coolsmiley

Man that is absolutely terrible.  I just don't know how you Canadian guys can handle it! Embarrassed  I cannot stand how long winter is where I live!  The older I get the more I despise it...

We are though experiencing a mild winter...started out rough...but man January was pretty laid back..and February looks to be even milder.  Once March hits, yeah it can snow for sure...but it doesn't last and with each day the Sun stays up later warming the atmosphere.   Still, it's a long pull until the weather really gets nice...

I need to move south...

Lucky you! I have to keep a tender on my battery or fire her up every 4-5 days due to all those damn electronics I installed. The LEDs are technically always on, waiting for a signal to light up. I wasn't smart enough to place the physical on/off switch in an easy to reach location (its under the seat).

Moonfer check the voltage of the battery on the tender they can overcharge the battery.

Adrian that is why I love this bike just start and go. The fuel injection makes a big difference over the carbs. I dont really let my bike sit like you who have to do winter storage but for consistency of fuel mix and ease of use there is nothing like fuel injection.

Hey Bob..just so you know, I was at Reilly auto parts yesterday.  Lucas Oil now makes a 10w/40 full synthetic motorcycle oil.   FYI...as you know I LOVE their 10w/30...Gonna pick some up today.

Adrian,

The older I get the more I hate winter as well.  In six years we retire and after that we are going south for Dec, Jan & Feb.  We are looking at a different place every year in the Caribbean.  Can't wait.  cooldude

I hear ya, and you live in CANADA!  No way in HELL could I live up there!  Beautiful country man...I've seen it in the Navy and as a kid and my Dad drove me across it...but to live there?  OH HELL NO...

Even Wisconsin...man, beautiful state...the river valley...Door country..gorgeous...but the extended Winter, OH HELL NO... 2funny

My older sister and her 'I like Winter'...bam, I want to pinch her hard!  I give her crap every time she bitches about being sick with the flu or the cold...the endless car wrecks on ice an snow...the heart attacks, blown backs, death from the flu..all related to ice and snow...the long months with minimal sunlight...man I could on and on and on...

Getting older means your less tolerant, and less equipped physically to deal with the additional hardship Winter brings on...but it also means you GET SMARTER and realize you DON'T have to deal with this.  There are plenty of places in the world that don't experience intense, long winters.
