I just installed Harley Style Road Glide bags on my Valkyrie.  $450.00 Invested and waaaay more functional than Honda's leather bags and cheaper.

These are a set of bags that I seriously considered for my bike, but with the black hardware.  They sure look like they are solidly on there.

In the end, I decided that I wanted a more roundish look.

Are you thinking of colour matching them with your bike?  They would look killer if you did.

Good point Brian, the color of the bike on the bags would be a wow!

They look real nice! Did you use Honda hardware or another brand?

I remember seeing these bags in red on eBay when I was looking, but I don't know if they were the correct red for your bike.

Used the Honda dual seat rail mounts  and the Softail street glide bag mounts. Purchased on Amazon.  At $219.00 the bags they are a great deal.  Did a little minor fabrication to mate the bag mounts to the Honda rail mounts.  I have the paint and will color match the paint when the weather warms up.  Working on another mount to attach a Harley Razor Tour pad to the back.

Your bag choice looks great and a way better choice than the Honda leather bags.

I never considered the Honda leather bags.  Too expensive for what you get and I didn't like the look.

Agreed. Much better options out there, as many of you have figured out.

They look great, but I would definitely have them painted, I went with the Honda leather bags cause the deal when I got the bike they were FREE. and carry enough for most rides, even short weekends, when I go cross country I add the Viking hard trunk,on mounts I made so it sits right behind me so I can lean on it for those cross country trips. Good job.
