Hello!

Patrick and I visited with Laurie today and she sure looks a lot better than she did two weeks ago. She is walking with assistance as I posted earlier this week. She said that she walked 48 feet with just people beside her, not holding her up. Her legs and left arm are working. She said she can move the limbs but has a hard time feeling them. She said it was a strange feeling. Her movements aren’t real coordinated. She said she felt like a baby learning to walk.  She didn’t seem to be using her right arm and I didn’t ask.  She’s still having problems with her eyes. She can only have one open at a time because when she opens both at once they cross. She said look when I open both eyes, and it was like something was pulling them together. My reaction was wow.

I spoke with her son Jason who was there today and he said that she has been getting cards from all over and they don’t know who they’re from. I told him the story about Strider’s sister-in-law and that people sent her cards. I also told him about our club and all the people that were praying for his Mom. He was very appreciative. He was in awe of the number of cards she’s received. Her son’s have read each card, letter and note to her. He said most started with, you don’t know me....

Today her mom, aunt, son, daughter-in-law and 6-week-old grandson were visiting when we arrived. She is so lucky to have all the love and support around her. I had the opportunity to watch her hold her grandson and it was priceless. She was able to hold him with her left arm with Jason helping hold his head. She talked with him about all the things they’ll do when she’s better. There were a lot of sniffles in the room.

THANK YOU ALL so very much for the support you’ve provided by sending cards and all the prayers. Keep it up because I know what the power of prayer can do because I’m seeing with my own eyes.

Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.

Blessings,
Carolyn

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.
