My Phatt Ghurl had Not been out since November 2016. I double dosed that tank of fuel and rode about 25 miles Knowing it Would pull the Stabil into the carbs. I did run it 2 or 3 times just to warm it up 15--20 minutes. Fast forward to yesterday 2-19-2017. Rode about 130 miles. I rode bout 110 miles on that old Treated fuel. Wanted to run out as much as I could before adding fresh 87 octane. I also treated the new fuel cuz I have NO idea How long she will sit again. I Hope NOT long but just in case kinda thingy! When I twisted the throttle W F O she did NOT hesitate at all on that old treated fuel. But the butt dyno noticed a bit of improvement with the fresh fuel when twisting the  throttle to W F O.  cooldude Point I'm tryin to make is the bike started and ran and idled and restarted on the old treated fuel with the Stabil Marine.  coolsmiley I M H O this stuff WORKS and works well. Just an honest assessment of a product I'm happy with but I hold no stock in the company.  2funny I live in a high humidity area is the reason I chose Stabil Marine. RIDE SAFE.

The biggest plus with the Sta-Bil Marine...anti corrosion additives for your steel fuel tank.
I avoid using ethanol laced fuel like it's poison for the off season...and use a good quality fuel stabilizer with corrosion protection. Here in Calgary ethanol free fuel is easy to find.
I also run the bike to full warm up about twice a month just to keep engine/tranny/diff parts lubed.

Do you run the carbs dry? I go back and forth on this.  If the fuel is treated it should not harm them but if you run them dry will all the rubber dry out? What do you think?

I Don't.  I do drain small engine equipment for off season storage because of ethanol laced 87 that is sold here...The bike gets Ethanol Free Premium starting about the middle of September with Stabilizer until it is too cool to ride.  I don't see the need for running the bike dry by shutting off the fuel ahead of time...maybe those who worry about Hydro-Lock might think about doing that.

cannot run them dry. engine will stall and fuel will still be in bowls. using drain will always leave some fuel in there. Always Stabil. their newest version actually emits fumes to coat the tank area above the fuel level in the tank.
