I have a 97 Tourer with 46k on it.
I am 6'4'' 250# and my wife is a buck ten so when riding 2 up I think I am giving the old shocks all they can handle.
What shocks (that wont break the bank) should I run?   Would OME work? thanks.

You mean OEM?  Honda Interstate shocks will do much better than original tourer shocks. You can find them for 100 or less

Ok so next question would be does anyone here on this trusted source have any good used Oem interstate shocks?

I have bought take offs for my dual sports from forums that I deal with  . A trusted sources for used parts, that's what I think this site is also. Ebay is good for a lot of things but I would hate to lay my money down on some wore out shocks.

I asked the same question last summer. Got the same answer, interstate shocks. I put an ad in the classifieds, had several people PM me with some for sale. Got some for less than $100, no more bottoming out, much better ride with the wife on.

So just post an ad in the classifieds.  cooldude

got 125000 on the original shocks. I'm 230ish and even with a passenger the ride is good. Or if I pull my H/F trailer It's Still good. No apparent oil leaks from my shocks. If you find a set see if they KNOW the mileage on them. Most good after market shocks can git spendy. RIDE SAFE.
