I know I have seen information on the Champiro VP1 tire and the Austone taxi tire. Is there a major difference between them? I have been looking at going dark this season and it's time to get on board. Thanks for the wisdom!

The Austone is only available in a 175R16. The Champiro is available in 205/60R16 (Closest to stock size), and is available in both H & V speed ratings.

The Champiro looks to be very, very similar to the Hankook Optimo H426 that I am currently running. Just from the profile of the Champiro I can tell you it will be a good handling tire. Multiple websites are giving the Champiro good to great reviews.

Other than that the only other differences I see is that the Champiro is a heck of a lot more affordable than the Austone.

Looks like the Champiro VP1 is a winner to me  cooldude

Thanks one and all. Got the Champiro and a few other parts and pieces ordered. Now if we can only end the snow and get the sand off the roads!

I spend a fair amount of time on site but very little time pontificating. Thanks again.
