In the Northeast I have seen trailers and pick ups with caps advertising "Dent Wizard" paint less dent removal. They travel to you. After a nasty storm that may have brought hail to the area the local body shops have mobile units that shows up for a few days. Snap-on  sells an adhesive used with a glue gun that attaches a barb like stem to the damage and a trigger like tool pulls the stem while the tool is planted against adjacent surface.

If paintless dent repair does not work I have seen several bikes with "bullet hole" decals over a small dent . You still have a dent but less noticeable.

With shape/strength of tanks I don't think the heat/cool method will work (search youtube for heat out dents) and paint less dent removal relies on access to the dent which is pretty hard on a tank, I am a Panel beater by trade and have spent time bending rods to put through the pillar to repair dents, only once was I able to "rub" out the dent without needing paint, rest needed smoothing & painting afterwards

Hot glue rubber handle end of your hammer to the dent then use hammer to pull out on dent glue will break away before you go to far repeat as nessessary

Years ago we used R12 (Freon) to pop these out. Tap the can, liquid on the dent.
I have also used the glue gun method that worked pretty good, I was surprised how well the special glue used to do this with held...

I have several decent dents in my head.  They were more hidden when I had more hair.

I considered the bullet hole decals, but decided against it.

If anybody asks, I just tell then they're dueling scars.

I've used something like this before with fairly good results, creases are another matter put a plain old dent they work well.

+1, but it's not fast.  On metal as thick as our tanks, you have to do many repetitions.

You probably don't need big thick gloves for Harbor Freight tool.   Grin
