I know this is not a major problem, but I am wondering if anyone has these and where they got them. Seems the only ones I can find are too large for the levers and they roll around on them. I love the way they slap my arms and sting the crap out of them. Well, maybe not that.

My new Valkyrie came with them. Some of the fringe were broken off but I did like the feel of leather so I made my own (without fringe) with some leather pieces I had laying around. If I had go buy the leather I would have bought black but I don't mind the color.

Can you pull the 2 main leather laces to tighten them to the lever. mine have 2 straps that much like a shoe lace tighten them to the lever. I used some hair spray to make the lever tacky and tightened the laces down and put a knot. I cut the fringe down some too and with the I/S fairing I don't get too much whipping action.

My wife had fringes  wraps on her clutch and brake levers.  I noticed when I followed her on the hiway that the brake light would often flash randomly.  It turns out at hiway speed the wind was strong enough on the fringe to pull the brake lever back enough to engage the brake light.

Good to know, I'm going to have my wife drive behind me and check it.

I've used them a few times but no for lever whip, or whips of any other sort.... lol  Grin

A few of the H D's I ride after repairs have them. The owner pulled in one day and could not let go of the bike as they had wrapped around his wrist and tangled. I , personally , would not have them.

I've used Chilhowee a few times with total satisfaction, I bought the engine guard chaps for my Spirit and put their lever fringe on a couple of my bikes.  Highly recommended.

I put these on my bike but I cut the fringes off cause I think it's more of a Harley thing Grin. They've been on there a couple years and they're fine.  They have other colors and the price is right too.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-leather-fringed-motorcycle-handlebar-race-grip-cover-/301898219864?hash=item464a894158:g:btQAAOSw6EhUMG3z&vxp=mtr

It may be a Harley thing, but they only look good on a Valkyrie.

Fair enough. They said the same thing about my fork bag – I say it looks good on my bike.

Got a photo of that fork bag. I have been thinking the Valkyrie needs one.

It seems like you can never get too much storage space. It's just like a toolbox no matter how big yours is you'll always fill it.

Shouldn't be a problem on an I/S.

I think I got mine from JCWhitney a long time ago.  Very good quality.  Still holding up nicely.

Nice bikes!

I don't understand why that fork bag doesn't crash into your fender when your forks compress...

Well at the advice of guys in this forum, I left enough clearance so that even fully compressed it just barely touches. And I put a little US flag sticker there where it actually does touch so it won't wear the paint off Grin.  I was also concerned that in the hot weather the fork bag would be restricting airflow over the fender to my radiator but that hasn't been an issue. After all I live in Seattle.
