Changing rear tire next week. Recommend a new valve stem? Does an independent shop have such an item? Dealer?

Amazon and several others have them as well. They are Myers 90 deg. Look for the ones that have the nut on the outside of the rim.
Unless you get a large enough order together, seems shipping is around $7.

A new rubber stem at EVERY tire change is OK and the shop should have them. If they don't do it, then I would never bring anything back to them to work on. It's your life.
As for the metal one recommended above, that is the way to go and should last, what ?, forever?
You just missed the sale Jake Wilson had, no minimum for free shipping. I bought like 4-6 valve stems just so I would have on hand. Even though I bought the 90' ones, I wonder why not stubby short ones? But I want the nut on the outside, so it can be tightened more if found leaking.
