Hi folks... New here and new to To a Valkyrie. Loved the look  so I took the plunge on E-bay for a 99 standard. When I finally received the machine  ,I  realized that the condition had been more than slightly exaggerated.!!! Well i guess i didn't want to really be able to ride it for a while. I've always thought that If you rode a cycle you best be able to repair anything on it. Soooo my Valk education has begun. I must say that your shop talk section  and this forum have been very informative!! well on to my first Question, I have a really rusty Headlight bucket,I took it off and I can't seem to figure how to get the indicator lights out of the bucket . probably something easy that I'm missing but I sure could use  some of your wisdom here......thanks in advance    TG

There are (3) colored lenses on top of the bucket. Pry them off with a small flat head screwdriver from the top. Then just compress the rubber boots from the top and push them through the holes. Now you can get at the bulbs.

Unless you are in witness (witless) protection , post your la casa in your avatar.  I actually had two living near me that I had not met. Help is usually near if we know where.

You should put in you profile the area where you live.  Someone may live near you that can help you get more familiar with you new toy.

I like the fiche which can sometimes show you how something is apart.

Have you a Service Manual yet?

I also like a hard copy, but the above is a nice place for some different manuals.

Do you need another headlight bucket. Send me a PM if so.
