I realize I am new here but just installed my new seat (fantastic) and now I have been taking some longer, for me, rides lately.  Been riding almost every night since also cooldude Anyway it has come to my intense attention that I MUST get a cruise control on the Valk.  I had one of course on my 88 Wing and it was fantastic.  I don't expect to be able to replicate that one as far as accuracy but I must do something. I have tried to educate myself on the Audiovox model and the Rostra offering.  The MC cruise seems a little steep to me pricewise.  Does anyone on the Texas forum have any experience with either unit pros and cons?
I am fairly handy with a wrench being a certified front end tech but his aint no old Chevy Im dealing with!!  Is there someone I could pay to help me install either unit, maybe someone who has done the install on their Valk?  Again I realize Im the new guy here, but just trying to get the bike up to where I can ride on some longer rides, hopefully with some forum guys.  Anyway, let me know if anyone has any ideas or suggestions.  As always much appreciated.

I have the audiovox model and it's been installed about 13 years with no problems. Does a good job. Could not guess where to find one since I bought mine on a closeout sale.

I've got an Audiovox unit sitting in a box.  It comes alive, but doesn't hold speed.  Usually this is a problem with the head control unit that is repairable.  Daniel Meyer knows more.

It's yours to mess with if you want and if you get it working, we'll make a deal.

The cc 100 can still be bought at Murphykit.com for about 180 dollars. I've installed about six of these units over the years only one failed but it was about 8 yrs old and 100k miles on it. They do had an all electronic unit to but I have experience with it.

I installed the rostra on my IS and it works great.  A little high tech on the install but it is clean.

Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate it.  After research I believe I want to go with the rostra unit although I question my ability to completely install it.  So for now I'll just have to rely on the ol vista cruise!! It's better than nothing! Thanks again and Valkpilot I really appreciate your offer but I think the rostra would suit me better if I can ever get the gumption to try the install.

Chevy327,

What Valkyrie are you on?  I installed a Rostra Cruise on my 1800 and I really like it.  I also built my own switch module for it which made it even better.

I'm about 2.5 hours west of you in Abilene.  I'd be glad to give you a hand when you're getting closer to being ready.  No payment expected.
