More archeology on my recently purchased 98 standard, which has a clunky looking heated grip device.  Seems to work but I'm wondering what brand it is.

The controller looks to be an older version of the Oxford brand grips

Hmmmm.

I'll have to post a photo of mine too so someone can identify them.

Thanks for the thought.

EDIT

Did a quick Google Images search and there they are "Show Chrome Comfort Heated Grips".http://www.jpcycles.com/product/503-114

2nd owner did a lot of accessorizing. Hurrah!

Didn't know New Zealand ever got down to freezing temperature.

I don't know what you are looking at, as I see no photo or link in the first post. Maybe my browser is hiding something from me? If so, I want to fix it.

Winter we often get frozen starts but fine days (have to be careful in shaded spots of the road), not cold enough to stop riding but hard on the hands in the morning..... Our mid winter club runs that head south you soon know who has heated grips.... the ones that aren't defrosting there hands on the exhaust Tongue

But where I am riding year round is easily done Cheesy

Odd; if I click the Quote button, I can see the address of the photo, but the photo doesn't show. I wonder if it's the latest 'security' fix for Firefox? If I try to select a photo on Photobucket, it won't copy the address, either.

Oh, well, this is off topic - I'll pursue it elsewhere.

Solved - it was HTTPS Everywhere.

The Grip is showchrome like mine. But I have a different controller.  The grips work great. Ready for Colorado trip.

hands on cycles get cold the worse by far, but if a nice heavy duty warm pair of gloves good down to say 40 degree temps will not do, then for me,  is too cold to be riding a cycle much below 40-42 degree temps.  Even my lighter pair of cycle gloves are fine at 48 degree temps is fine.
