We had a great time Sunday at Barber Vintage Days!  There were all kinds of vintage racing, motocross, hack racing, and road racing. There were vendors, a huge swap meet, antique firetrucks, airshow, and the wall of death show. There was an auction with some of the nicest old bikes I had ever seen. We missed the auction part but was able to see the bikes after. This was my first year to go and I will be sure to make it a yearly trip.  Here is a few photos, and a link to more...I hope you enjoy.

Great set of photos, that event must be one of the premier gatherings in the entire country for vintage bikes.   cooldude

Great pics. Wish I had remembered it was going on. I would like to have gone. I remembered it late Sunday.

I met the guy on the 40 Indian with the quiver on the handlebars. Looks like he removed the hatchet that he had straped on with it. He had just rebuilt the top end of the motor and was trying to find a spring to fit something on the throttle linkage. It had a puddle of oil underneath it about 6 inches across and the entire rear wheel was covered. He was hoping to get it running well enough to ride down to the meet. Looks like he made it. He said it's a '40 Indian with '36 sheet metal. Was saying that was an option back then for those who didn't want the new big sweeping fenders. I have no idea if he knew what he was talking about, but he was at least convincing.  Grin
