Saw that no one responded to your question. I live in Idaho, or I'd come do them for free. My next best recommendation is to buy a digi-sync and do them yourself. For $125 you can't go wrong and you'll easily pay twice that to have them done. BonS makes them and you can find his product on this site. Really, it is so easy with his device that you could teach a 6 year old to do it and do it well.

I just logged on and read where DigiSync was going into retirement.

nogrey is right. The Digisync is a breeze to use. Once  you get it, you'll have all 6 carbs synced in a matter of minutes. Ya did good to get one while the gettin's good!

Do you need the 6 channel model Digisync model and what options do you recommend?  I have a Honda ST1100 I would like to use this on as well.
Thank you.

you can use jsut a 2 channel. one line on #3 carb and 1 line for the other 6.  I would prefer the 6 channel so you can monitor all 6 carbs at once.

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question related to carb balance …hope you don't mind if I jump in …

Would I be correct in  assuming:

That if I turn the carb balance screw counterclockwise – adding  air?

And if I'm turning the carb balance screw clockwise–  reducing the amount of air ?

Thank you

I think just the opposite. Turning clockwise opens the venturi more. It essentially "pushes" the venturi control for that individual carb farther out, so more open, more air.

Well not exactly, you are opening/closing the butterfly, which gives both fuel and air.  To the right opens.

Thanks Gavin_Sons for the reply of the 6 channel DigiSync. I saw someone post they are $125, on the website the 6 channel is $175, where did you get one for that price?  I think I am going to spring for one, as mine seems to be rich plugs are slightly black and the air cleaner smelled very stern of gas.
Thanks again.

You do realize that the Digi Sync is not going to help with that problem? cooldude

I said that. I seem to remember paying that at Inzane '15, but my memory is not as good as it used to be. Honestly, I'd pay $175 for it if I needed one. I think he could charge more and still get it.

I had a rich running bike and always smelled gas at the stop lights. Hard to start but ran fine once warmed up and idled ok, but not great. I finally got tired of the rich smell and the funky idle and tore down the carbs. I replaced some #38 jets with stock #35's and re-synced with the digisync. Also adjusted the pilots. Runs and starts beautifully now. The digi-sync can help with pilot screw adjust since it has a tachometer built in. I couldn't get the procedure down though so settled for tuning by ear. I started with them all turned out 1-3/4 like the book says for a start and kept adjusting them out until it seemed the best. I believe I ended up at 2-1/4. No more rich gassey smell either.

Thanks, I figured there was a special sale on it. I will probably get it as who knows who may have messed with the carbs to "improve" them.  It looks like a professional kit.

Gary: What "kit" are you referring to? Has something been added to your carbs?

No kit, it is a stock 2000 Tourer.  I just watched a video on how to use the DighSync so now I "get it"

Got it! It is quite a tool. Takes longer to install the 6 hoses to your bike than the actual calibration....well, almost.
