Not that I ever doubted it's functionality.

Using an app that reads lux, I measured the lux on low and high beams. I then installed the smart switch, and measured again. I found both low and high beams read 50 lux higher after the switch was installed.

Good to know, thanks!  I would use the Smart Switch even if it did not increase illumination just to save the strain on the starter button.
