I have been a member for awhile like some here and can remember the posts from the old board. Its very interesting the differences in the posts and the content. Most of the older posts were about mods and hp increases and all sorts of things like that. We even see some of it in the 1500 mechanical board now. The posts here are so much less and not really to do with HP gains and all that many mods. I guess its a testimate to how these bikes were made and how Honda I believe did listen to all the ones that came before and changed the bikes to accommodate the complaints.

Not to mention alot had to do with the shiny stuff like chrome and we really dont have that much bling to put on. LOL

IMHO, most everyone with a 1500 has long ago got it set up the way he wants it (mechanical AND bling) (except the occasional newbs).  20 years later, it's more like....... hey my bike has always run great but now I have this problem (after 20 years, sh!t does happen).

And the old..... hey, I fixed that back in 2005, but I can't remember how I did it now.

There's limited things to bolt on 1800s, they don't need much of anything for performance, and they're not old enough for any chronic problems.

So lets talk about politics, guns, trucks, dogs, good liquor, hip replacements and fat girls.   Smiley  (just like country and western songs)

I hear you Robert.

To bad some of the 1500 riders didn't buy a 1800, would have been a lot more sold and the after market goodies would have been plenty.

IMHO (and just mine).
Move on guys and gals, yes the 1500 is a great bike, but take a chance and you'll know what a great bike the 1800 (is) can be.
A little bit here, a little bit there, just like you did to your 1500 making it yours .
You can thank me later. cooldude

Lack of aftermarket stuff has been my biggest (beef) with this bike. I very much enjoy my Valk, but I enjoy making Mods to a bike just as much as the bike. Performance mods are my favorite. I sunk tons of money into every bike I ever owned including my Honda VTX-1800, and Suzuki M109.  New exhaust, intake mods, fuel mapping ect. I hate not being able to do mods to this bike.
