I'm in need of a new rear tire for the Interstate.
Where do most of you guys buy tires?
Think I did Bike Bandit last time, looking for other options.
TIA.

besides jake wilson, I have done chaparral motorsports as well.  depending on tire, one is cheaper than the other by a few bucks is all.

bike bandit is usually a few bucks more as well as motorcycle-superstore

I just bought three Metzeler tires from Revzilla. They price matched Jake Wilson and shipping is free. They have been really good to me with several purchases.

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago at Dennis Kirk, a Metzler ME880, price $130.88 + $5.00 shipping. I saw Jake Wilson mentioned here so I just checked their price on the same tire, $135.88 + free shipping. I had checked several sources (but not Jake Wilson) before I ordered mine and Dennis Kirk was the cheapest, so IMO either place would probably be the best price for the tire I ordered. Still, your best bet would be to check as many sites as you can think of to find the best price for your tire brand and size.

I have ordered tires online many times. The only supplier I've ever had trouble with was Motorcycle Superstore. Very hit and miss with them. Some good, some really bad.  Note that, during my conflict resolution process (which took a month and about 15 phone calls) I was put in touch with JP Cycles. They are connected somehow. Maybe owned by same outfit, i dont know...

I realize thats probably not much help. Just sharing the experience  for what it's worth. I imagine you have chance of a bad experience with any company. MC superstore has become my last choice for parts though…

I have been getting all my tires from Amazon.com (always free and really fast delivery, even though I always choose free ground delivery) for several years (and you don't need a Prime account). (car tires and bike tires)

I always check Amazon first, then shop around to see if I can do better.  Generally the only way to do better is to find a sale somewhere.

The only thing to be careful about on Amazon is to be sure you are looking at/ordering the right tire.... Like Metzler ME880s come in both radial (I want radial) and bias (cheaper).  Sometimes the picture on Amazon is not right, or the information vague.  And sometimes on Amazon, you are buying from Amazon direct, and other times you are buying from a private seller, through Amazon.

On line ordering was always a great way to avoid state sales tax.  However, the G is slowly getting their nose under the tent wall, and taxes are finding their way into more and more on-line purchases.  Communists!

Thanks everybody!
I didn't know how many options there were out there. I guess I had gotten stuck in a buying rut.
Now I have other options to consider...
Decisions, decisions...
