This is probably a dumb question but I am just starting to strip my 'basket case' Valk to get some of the items re-chromed / replaced. Are the valve covers handed? They look identical to me just to make sure I put them back right when I get them back.

as far as I know yes. ck out www.pinwallcycles.com they always have some on their ebay store, cheaper than a rechrome and I think showchrome sells new ones for 300/pr

The valve covers do not have "hands" or "feet".
The're sort of ambidexterous.

no, they work on either side.

as Mr Horton says they work on both sides.

However recently my buddy asked me to get him a new used Valve cover from Pinwall Cycles on ebay

we looked for a Right hand side Pinwall listed it as right hand side.

Was Great Price 49 bucks  in near mint condition.

After receiving it in mail we noticed it works on both sides.
