Happy Monday

I have been wanting to ride down to the Port Aransas area.

Any thoughts or suggestions, if that is a good place to ride?

Routes/Hotels/Cafes?

I am thinking about a long weekend later this month before the warmer temps hit.

Do we have any Valk riders down that way?

I ride that way once in a while but have never stayed as it is about 170 miles for me and I always return home to Harlingen. There is a 24 hour ferry boat between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas and Corpus with quite a few attractions is a short ride south via Mustang Island. Port Aransas seems to be a neat little sea side town, hopefully someone else can give you some info, otherwise there is always the web.

Not sure of your route, but if you happen to go through Lockhart you'll have plenty of choices for some of the best BBQ in the world...Black's, Smitty's and Kruez's are three great choices in that scenic town.

Maybe your route can take you through Goliad which is the place of some amazing Texas History...

That's the Presidio La Bahia.

This is from the Aransas Pass - Port Aransas Ferry...

Good luck and safe winds on whichever way you travel!
