Which one do you use?

I can't seen to find a decent one.

The one I was using doesn't keep a lifetime record. It starts the clock at zero everytime you enter something on it.
In other words you can't tell for example, what the intervals have been for an oil change.

Neither do I.

I wonder if it would make sense to write my own app? Which features would make sense to have?

I guess support for photos is mandatory as also a table with the recommended maintenance (as the user only adds the model, it could show the table).

Maybe allow it to be visualized both in mobile X desktop? So if you are at office or in the road, you could easily access it.

Maybe it could also list 'compatible' parts (e.g. oil filters)... That is a bit tricky, would require further research.

Another cool feature I think would be nice is to allow sharing 'cards' of a bike (e.g. you sharing the maintenance data of you Valkyrie with a friend that also got a valkyrie).

Which other features would make sense to have?
:-)

I keep a handwritten journal in my bike shed.  Going on 20 years of entries now.

All maintenance on both bikes and cages.  I can tell when and how many miles on any tire in a few seconds.  Or how many miles/or how much time on an oil & filter or air filter or plugs, or battery, or rear end maintenance.  Keep a separate folder with all bills for parts and service (in case I forget to make a journal entry, I can go back and find the info).

All entries have a date and miles.

Pretty high tech, no?  Grin

I never take it with me, so it can't get lost.  And it's hard to break a book.

I use a doc file on my computer. Listing all data I know about the bike when I bought it. What I do at what date and mileage.

Below I list work I want to do, and any parts #/$ I either want or need for a job.

All info, links, data of how-to, like how-to lube a rear drive.

Sell the bike, email/forward the data to the new owner.

I use an excel spreadsheet. One tab for each vehicle I own or work on regularly. Columns for Date, mileage, work done, and 2 columns for parts used.

On the last pages of the Honda factory manuals, there are several blank pages. I write any maintenance I do there. - Its always there, never to disappear into the cloud. Who needs an app?
