A few accessories should off set the miles IMHO,is it close enough to pick it up and ride home? the color you wanted? how many dollars in accessories that are " must have items " is it missing ?

Bought mine with 59K on it. Went through all maint. fluids, bearing, brake pads, and checked and lubed the splines just be sure of what I had. Now at 111K without any problems other than an alt. at 94k.Looks like it might be a good deal .

Check out the posts here lately about bikes for sale on craiglist. Saw a red and black with trailer for about that much with about a third the miles.

I personally think that’s about right. I got mine with 48K miles; it’s a ’99 also, for $6900. Nothing extra with it. That was two years ago.

This is what I do. Set up an account with a photoshare site. I use photobucket. Upload your pics to the site ( It's free ) then a pic you want to post, move the mouse over it and under it will show 4 links. Right click the last one and select copy. Go to the spot you want to put it and right click and select paste and it's there. Dave

Bike on craigslist in MD seems to cheap to me. Maybe from an individual but a dealer letting one go for that???? Bet its had paintwork or something. Ditto on posting the pics, I just can't seem to get it to work.

I got my 99 IS for $7800 with 30K. Thought it was a pretty good deal after looking at a BUNCH that went on Ebay. Even with $500 shipping I am still happy with the deal. Great machine. I ended up with about 9K in all together. Tune up, new tire, taxes, new fluid, etc. That kind of miles would not scare me off for that price.

I have a 99 interstate green and silver with around 30 thousand on it, it has standard seat but air added, plus it has a 6 changer cd player. I wasn't sure what to ask for it. It belonged to my husband that passed away in June of this year. I just had a new tire put on the front (the back tire was replaced last year and then he couldn't ride any longer) and an oil change done. It runs great. Your more than welcome to come and take a look and make me an offer. It is garaged in Rabun Gap, Ga and I live in Franklin, NC. I haven't had the heart to sell it but I have a black interstate of my own and I can't ride two.

Wow....I'm from Mountain City myself....I've been here in Athens since 1989....my first job was at the Dillard House and my best friend from high school lives in Franklin...what a coincidence that there'd be another Green and Silver IS right where I grew up in Rabun County.... Sorry to hear about the passing of your Husband...he obviously had good tastes in bikes.....
