At 40 k miles my front and rear discs are in bad shape.

I've riden on dirt/gravel roads maybe a total of 150 (just a quick guess) miles.
Could that be a cause?

Anyhow, I've heard goldwing discs will fit on the front and at half the price.
Any part numbers or specific instruction I should be aware of?

What about rear disc.
Any less expensive substitutes?

I replaced mine with EBC at about half the price. Might be some deals on eBay.

Check out this thread:  http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,8727.0.html.  According to one of the posters, if you have the old style wheel you can use the rear rotor off a ST1300.

Go with the EBC and forget them for close to 100k.  Also, use EBC pads......

I have EBC on both ends.   Super better brakes than EOM.

I just order the goldwing front rotors using the numbers in shop talk.  $145 each from HDl. I have 111K on the Scarett Lady and the front rotors were shot. Haven't gotten the parts in yet. The ones listed for the valk are $304 ea. In about a week I can tell you for sure if they fit. I trust that they will if Jeff listed them.I order the rotors, front brakes, and rear brakes and just a little tiny bit of CHROME. cooldude

Let's talk about these tonight.  I'd like to hear if you have received them and tried them yet.

I probably sound like a broken record, but I hate to miss an opportunity to claim that taking
your calipers off, popping the pistons out with compressed air, cleaning the snot out of
everything including the pin that the pads slide on, refreshing the caliper grease on the pins
that the caliper rides on and putting anti-seize on the threads of the pad-pin and its cap
makes for an awesome brake job... taking the caliper off implies changing the fluid and it doesn't
hurt to swap out the seals in the caliper, they're cheap. Doing all this will make your chrome
shinier  cooldude ...

Chris you can have my rotors but I'm gonna re use to the mounting bolts. Rocketman I didn't get to the meeting  so we didn't get to talk. And yes I'm gonna pull  them all apart and clean everything and change out all the fluids.
