Hello folks, moron here...I had a fuel issue so I pulled my tank, removed the petcock and put it all back together after cleaning and now the selector is backwards.  What did I do wrong? Thx--Bob

I haven't taken mine off lately, so...

I think that before you tighten it, you can point it in any direction, then
hold it the way it is supposed to be and tighten it all the way.

Do you mean the petcock is turned around the wrong way? Like Hubcapsc says you loosen it and turn it straight. If you mean the selector knob is out of sync you loosen the phillips screw and pull the knob out and figure out how to position it back so off is off, etc.

The post the knob screws on to on the petcock isn't square, one corner is rounded off. The knob should match the shape so mount/install accordingly.
