Are you talking about a true "high intensity discharge" lighting system bulb or some hyped up bulb that is being inferred as an equivalent to a HID bulb.

A true honest to goodness HID lighting system includes a ballast to supply the higher current needed to operate properly.

It does come with a ballast.Also it was 49.99 didn't see the 29.99 shipping.

That kit is a after market kit for cars and I wouldn't use it in the Valks current headlight. First no provision for high beam and these things throw out allot of heat so I would be worried about melting the lens on the headlight. I have had experience with these kits in the past and they are so so. I put a 80/100 bulb in my bike and I can see for miles and miles and miles oh good line for a song
